I guess I just didn't think to put stars. And they're not on a unicycle, it's a bicycle. It's forshortened and the handle bars are turned. You can see the silhouette of the back tire next to the front tire.
Congrats! this week your "80's piece receives the Brandon Dorman Award.
I picked your piece for two reasons. Composition and concept. These two character's shout 80's and made me smile when I first saw it. Your composition is attractive and more dynamic than any of the others.
But..., WHERE ARE YOUR STARS MAN!!?? They are in Space. Space IS stars!
It still feels too "computery." I know the class is Digital Illustration, but I often hear art directors complain about artwork that screams computer.
Over all, good work.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with next week.
Pretty nice illo. I like the lines on Alf and ET, they get a little thick on the box that ET is in. The colors are pretty nice as well. I think you could experiment with making the lines different colors, especially the detail lines and the line around ET's glowing finger. All in all it's a good illustration.

Hahaha... ALF! That brought back some memories! Great concept and cool illustration.
Very funny! It is a clever idea. And your line drawing is very good. Why are there no stars though? And are they supposed to be riding a unicycle?
